Sandro Nebieridze

Sandro Nebieridze was born in Tbilisi, Georgia, where he started playing the piano at age five and composing at age nine. Now a student at Tbilisi State Conservatory, he regularly performs in recital, most recently in Georgia, Russia, and at Rachmaninoff's Villa Senar in Switzerland. Additionally, he participates in many international festivals as soloist and chamber musician, in particular, Denis Matsuev's Crescendo, Stars on Baikal, and White Lilac Festivals; the Tsinandali Festival; the Festival d'Auvers-sur-Oise; and Festspiele der Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

Mr. Nebieridze has composed a variety of works as well, including piano concertos, chamber music, symphonic ballads, and opera. He premiered his Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Georgian Philharmonic Orchestra, under the baton of Maestro Ariel Zukermann in 2016, and the following year performed it again at Denis Matsuev's festivals in Russia. Mr. Nebieridze's compositions have also won competitions, among them the Golden Key Piano Composition Competition 2018 and the 2018 Otar Taktakishvili Competition.
